Spa Spirituality on a Summer Retreat in St Lucia

Set on a lush hillside above Soufriere overlooking St. Luciaå‘s famous Piton Mountains, the Mago Estate Hotel is an intimate 10-room hideaway, which presents breathtaking views and a unique spiritual experience. However, it is the powerful healing energies that flow through these natural surroundings that have been harnessed in two health programmes, which truly sets this spa destination apart.

Mago Estate has been designed by its owner as a complete retreat, decorated with hand-carved furniture, local antiques and artwork. Guests visit this spiritual spa to enjoy rustic elegance and a flavour of authentic Caribbean life. Here is a place where one can sleep under the stars in the open Shangrila Suites with four-poster beds draped in muslin, find undisturbed peace in a hammock, sip a cocktail in the tree house bar, or enjoy a massage in the privacy of an exclusive suite. Additionally, four new Eden Suites have recently been added and feature large sea-facing terraces with private plunge pools.

The hotel is dedicated to ensure that guests experience a genuine sense of wellbeing and the aim here is very clear - to pamper and revitalise weary souls. The two health programmes now exclusively available at Mago Estate have been designed to overcome the negative effects that everyday surroundings, food and lifestyle have on the health and aging process. As such, Mago Estate offers the following inspirational Health Plans which work to truly detoxify the body and release mind:

The Caribbean Way - Yin

This programme utilises the resources and healing energies of the nearby tropical rainforest. Treatments include mineral baths, massage and medicine prescribed by the Bush Doctor. Healthy, tropical food and drink also play an important role in these therapies.

The Oriental - Complementary Way - Yang

Therapies include Qi Gong and yoga and require the active mental and physical co-operation of guests.
