HMS International Hotel GmbH - responsible for Maritim’s overseas acquisitions - signed the management contract for the new property near Shanghai on the 15th of April 2009.Located in Anting, the new five star Maritim Hotel Hui Zun is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors in time for the Expo - Shanghai on the 1st of May 2010. The hotel is housed within one of two connected towers and will provide guests with 288 rooms and a comprehensive range of meeting facilities.

The lobby level includes a German restaurant, a buffet restaurant and a bar, while the level above will have a restaurant serving local cuisine, a number of private rooms around 20 sqm in size each and a karaoke area. Atop these levels are the 23 storey hotel tower and a four storey conference facility with a number of various catering provisions. To ensure guests enjoy their stay to the fullest, a spacious spa facility with swimming pool, sauna, fitness room as well as private cabins for cosmetic applications and massage treatments is also planned.

The hotel rooms are located between the 5th and 22nd floors with the top three serving as ‘Executive Floors’. Every room will be air-conditioned, equipped with a SAT TV and provide internet access.

Various rooms and halls covering between 30 sqm and 400 sqm are planned to ensure the conference area is able to cater to a flexible range of events. The hotel occupies an enviable spot in one of Anting’s most sought-after inner city districts. There is a new subway station adjacent the hotel that provides an ideal way to quickly and efficiently reach Shanghai some 34 kilometres away. Shanghai’s Hongqiao International Airport is only around 25km away.

Among other notable companies, Anting is home to the German-Chinese joint venture behind China’s largest automobile manufacturer, Volkswagen - and is considered one of the country’s most important automotive centres. It’s also home to the Chinese Grand Prix and has hosted the Formula 1 since 2004.
