easyJet and Ryanair add new routes

Leading low-cost carriers easyJet and Ryanair have both unveiled new routes today.
easyJet is starting a new route from Gatwick to Istanbul on 12 December 2008. Ryanair meanwhile has announced the launch of three new routes from the UK, connect Liverpool and East Midlands with Paris (Beauvais) and Stansted with Agadir, Morocco.Ryanair will operate daily services to Paris (Beauvais) from Liverpool from 3 November and East Midlands from 28 October whilethe London Stansted service will offer a twice weekly return service to Agadir.
easyJet’s new route to Istanbul brings the total number of routes from Gatwick to 51 this winter and the airline expects over 100,000 passengers to travel on the new service in the first 12 months. This is the fifth new route to be added to easyJet’s Gatwick base this winter.
