Carrentals.co.uk bulks up for Euro expansion

Price comparison site Carrentals.co.uk is strengthening its team and restructuring its management, as it prepares for a European roll-out in 2008.Gareth Robinson will now take on the role of Managing Director, responsible for the strategic development and direction of the brand as it looks to achieve £23m turnover by January 2009.

“Since switching to a comparison site at the start of 2007 we’ve seen a three-fold increase in business, and this shows no signs of slowing down,” says Robinson.  “Based on this success we’re rolling out the Carrentals.co.uk format to other European countries over the next 12 months.  Germany has already launched and is performing well, and with the new corporate structure in place this will support our growth in the UK and beyond.”

Doug Scott now takes on the role of Director of Online Strategy, responsible for the company’s online presence across its target markets, while Andrew Stevens continues as Financial Director.
