Tiger unveils new Indian route

Tiger Airways has launched sales of its third service to the Indian Subcontinent Southern city of Bangalore. The low cost airline will operate four flights a week between the two cities from 1 June 2008.

Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis said, “Tiger Airways is delighted to have reached yet another milestone within its short operating history. The addition of another India route is a significant opportunity for Tiger Airways to bring affordable travel to India’s fast growing population and economy. Tiger Airways’ extensive network to China, South East Asia and Australia will make international travel from India more affordable then ever.”

Tiger Airways earlier this year obtained authority to operate extended twin engine operations (ETOPS), which enables the airline to operate more efficient direct routings between Singapore and points in southern India.
