Kempinski debuts in Saudi Arabia

Kempinski Hotels has been awarded the management contract for a new five star luxury hotel on Jeddah Cornish overlooking the Red Sea shores. The first property for the group in Saudi Arabia, Kempinski Hotel Jeddah is expected to open in winter 2010.

Designed to be the first green intelligent hotel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the 240 meter high tower will boast 321 keys out of which 250 will be luxury guest rooms and suites, while the rest will be serviced apartments spread over its 56 floors.

With a full array of first class facilities including luxurious leisure suites, two restaurants offering a range of international cuisines, a stunning wellness centre and spa, fitness centre, swimming pool and a 1000 sqm ballroom, the hotel will be the finest address for leisure travelers in Jeddah. Moreover, corporate guests can avail themselves of the advanced corporate and meetings facilities including fully equipped modern meeting rooms, VIP offices and business suites.

Designed by Perkins and Will International, the Kempinski Hotel Jeddah is currently in its final design stages, and is set to be the first intelligent hotel building in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using the most advanced electro mechanical green technology.

Al Issa confirms that ‘It is our commitment to a way of living; we have appointed a green consultant to deploy techniques during the entire project that save natural resources and saves energy.’
