Travelport names Ireland boss

Terje (Ty) Tjostolvsen has been appointed as country manager for Ireland, 
Travelport GDS. The appointment follows a review of the company’s organisational structure as part of the integration of Worldspan and Galileo. 

Terje Tjostolvsen will be responsible for ensuring that existing customers continue to receive high levels of service and dedicated account management, in addition to overseeing business development activities to maintain and grow the business in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Tjostolvsen is a Norwegian national, with extensive experience of the Irish market. He has a Bachelors degree from the University of Ulster, as well as an MBA from the Theseus International Management Institute in France.

Prior to heading up the Travelport GDS in Ireland, Tjostolvsen was country manager for Worldspan, Ireland. He has also held various international commercial roles role for Amadeus and the STA Travel group.

Terje Tjostolvsen will report to Patrick Lukan, general manager, UK & Ireland.
