Emirates Palace is stepping up its marketing campaign in Europe - particularly in the UK and Germany, which together bring in close to half of the hotel’s guests - by fortifying its alliances with leading business partners, and establishing greater presence in the continents most important sporting events. As part of this initiative, Emirates Palace sales staff accompanied a group of the luxury resort’s leading partners, represented by Mr. Salem Muhairi to the 2007 Open Championship golf tournament in Carnoustie, Scotland.  Acting as brand ambassadors, the partners had the opportunity to attend the award ceremony and mingle with high profile golf stars during the three day event.

Noel Massoud, General Manager of Emirates Palace is eager to maintain a continuous presence in the global sporting arena, saying “These events are very effective as marketing platforms for Emirates Palace internationally. Through the involvement of our partners we are showing appreciation for their ongoing support and at the same time increasing opportunities to secure new business”.

For his part, Muhairi welcomed the opportunity to become more involved in representing the property, “As a partner it is always rewarding to contribute on a more personal level by actively participating in local and international events where Emirates Palace is represented.  We were delighted to be invited to the Scottish Open and look forward to attending similar events in the future”.

The British Open Championships is one of the many prestigious events Emirates Palace has sponsored this year. Among its more recent high profile sponsorships include the British Formula One Grand Prix in Silverstone and the World Tennis Awards in London.
