Gulf Air gears up for the future

Gulf Air is gearing up for the future as the company’s board of directors are formulating the ‘way forward’ strategy for the airline. “We want Bahrain’s flag carrier to be the airline of choice and we are looking at ways in which we can broaden the horizon for the most established carrier in the region,” says Gulf Air Board of Directors Chairman Mahmood Al Kooheji.

“We are also aligning Gulf Air with the economic development of the Kingdom of Bahrain,” says Mr. Al Kooheji, who chaired a formal meeting of the Board of Directors of Gulf Air at the airline’s headquarters in Muharraq.

The meeting was attended by other board members, Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, Mr. Adel Kanoo, Mr. Mohammed Almoayyed and also Gulf Air’s top management, including Acting President and Chief Executive Björn Näf and other senior executives.

The board reviewed the future plans for Gulf Air in terms of improving efficiency of the carrier, development of the airline’s staff and upgrading the standards of the company’s aircraft, including re-fleeting of the airline.
