LIAT takes off at WTM

The airline synonymous with Caribbean travel - LIAT - will have more meaningful representation at this year’s World Travel Market. For the first time the region’s number one airline will have a stand-alone presence at the premier travel trade show at ExCel - London’s largest and top of the line exhibition centre.

LIAT took the decision to have a distinctive showcase following recent significant developments in the company, chief among them - the acquisition of the assets of Caribbean Star. This transaction has yielded almost instantaneous benefits for the airline such as: an increase in the customer base; an increase in the fleet from 12 to 17 aircrafts and more cohesive approach to coverage of service to the region and scheduling of flights.

World Travel Market 2007 will offer LIAT, which can boast of a solid 51 years in aviation, the opportunity show its full range of enhanced products and services along with the exciting packages available to our UK clientele.

The contingent for World Travel Market reflects the importance of the occasion and will include: Chairman, Jean Holder, Chief Executive Officer, Mark Darby and Chief Commercial Officer, Leesa Parris. A number of high-powered engagements are planned with industry executives in London, as the company continues in fulfilling its objective to further create strategic alliances and partnerships.
