Sandman Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Lourdes Yu as the new
Operations Manager, Tour & Travel, and Karen Sanghara as Coordinator,
Tour & RFP.Yu will oversee the tour and travel department for all of
Sandman Hotels while Sanghara will be assisting her in the department.
A veteran of the tourism and travel industry, Yu has been an employee
of Sandman Hotels since 2002. Prior to her most recent promotion, Yu
was the Tour & FIT Coordinator. Yu’s wealth of hotel management
experience extends overseas where prior to coming to Canada, Yu was
Hotel and Front Office Manager for the prestigious Waterfront Hotel &
Casino in Cebu in the Philippines.
“Lourdes brings proven industry experience and a keen understanding
of tour and travel market to her new position,” says Donna Briggs,
Director of Sales, Tour and Travel for Sandman Hotel Group. “We are
immensely pleased that she is able to join us in this new capacity.”
To assist Yu in the daily operations of the tour and travel market,
Karen Sanghara has been promoted to Coordinator, Tour and RFP from
her previous position as Administrative Assistant, Tour & FIT. In
addition to assisting Yu, Sanghara will be working with Matt
Rowlette, Director of Sales, National Account for Sandman Hotel Group.
