First Choice in web drive

Empirix has secured a contract with First Choice, the Mainstream Sector of First Choice Holidays PLC.

First Choice will use Empirix’s e-TEST software suite to ensure the company’s customer facing-ecommerce applications operate flawlessly, giving customers the best online shopping experience in the travel industry.

Alun Williams, Head of e-commerce, First Choice said, “Increasingly the web is playing a critical role as a sales channel in the travel industry. We rapidly develop new functionality for our site and have bought into the Empirix product to facilitate efficient regression testing. The technical complexity of the site requires intensive QA at each release; Empirix automates this for us, enabling us to be more agile in improving the online user experience.”

e-TEST suite will equip First Choice with a quick and easy way to create automated tests for any web application, without the need for bespoke computer programming. This means the testing time for new features and functionality on the First Choice site will be greatly reduced. Empirix will also provide a structured approach to the testing process integrating the management, planning, execution and reporting. This process will ensure that we identify bottlenecks and issues prior to release, before they cause an obvious problem to the person using the First Choice website.
