at 0945 and from Edinburgh at 1030, arriving Barcelona at 1355.  Tickets

Barcelona is a truly cosmopolitan city with a Mediterranean climate in
the heart of Spain’s Catalonia region. To the one side, the mountains
overlook the city and to the other is the majestic urban seafront,
beaches and harbour, one of the largest and busiest in the Med, with its
statue of Columbus placed precisely at point where the Admiral of the
Ocean Seas set foot back in Spain upon his return from his first voyage
of discovery in early 1493.

“We are delighted to add Scotland to our list of destinations,” said
clickair CEO, Alex Cruz.  “Edinburgh is a great complement to our
existing UK services.  Barcelona and Edinburgh have strong links and we
are proud to offer all travellers - business people, tourists and
students alike - a product they can tailor to their needs.  We want to
cover the huge existing demand in Scotland for Barcelona.”

VisitScotland area director for Edinburgh and Lothians, Ben Carter,
said:  “We are very pleased to welcome the new clickair route from
Barcelona to Edinburgh.  Spain is one of our key markets and this direct
route will help boost the inbound traffic from this important region.”

David Johnston, Managing Director of BAA Edinburgh Airport, said:  “This
new daily service to Barcelona gives our passengers even greater choice
and flexibility.  We are delighted to welcome clickair to Edinburgh and
look forward to working together to ensure the success of this route,
which we are certain will prove very popular.”

This new clickair route joins the carrier’s existing UK flights
connecting Seville, Valencia and La Coruna with London and Barcelona
with Dublin.
