Utell migrates to eBooks

18th May 2007

Leonardo Media have been selected by Utell® Hotels & Resorts to provide an eBook solution for their Niche Brands and Utell Collections - commencing with the Spa and Golf Collections and Luxury and Boutique Niche Brands.

Under the agreement, Leonardo will provide Utell with a template driven eBook for each Collection that will permit free format textual content for customisation of message by Hotel and by Collection as and when they grow.

A key feature is the “auto-update functionality” that enables Utell to make regular updates to their textual and image content via a portal, feeding directly from the Utell Digital Asset Management Platform - ensuring that information displayed is always fresh and up-to-date.

David Elton, CEO of Leonardo said, “We are delighted to strengthen our existing relationship with Utell Hotels & Resorts.  As more consumers move to the Internet to shop and buy travel products, it makes sense that a hotel’s collateral be made available in a digital format.  Being able to offer an enhanced online media presentation, complete with interactive links within the brochure to a booking engine will immediately and directly drive revenue to the bottom line.”

Commenting on the announcement Alan Jeffers, COO - Hotel Representation Services, Pegasus said, “T he introduction of e-books further enhances our reputation of providing an unrivaled range of innovative marketing and distribution solutions for member hotels. In particular, eBooks will provide the speed and flexibility hotels require as Utell Hotels & Resorts expands the range of elective marketing initiatives delivered online to increasingly targeted audiences.”
