Midwest boosts 2007 plans

Midwest Airlines has announced schedule enhancements on two popular routes as part of
its 2007 strategic growth plan.The airline will add a second nonstop
roundtrip between Milwaukee and Los Angeles during peak travel periods to
meet customer demand. Midwest will also expand its Milwaukee-Tampa, Fla.
service by adding a second roundtrip during the summer season.
  The additional summer season service between Milwaukee and Tampa begins
May 1. The additional service between Milwaukee and Los Angeles begins July
1.
  The enhanced service is the next step in Midwest’s comprehensive
strategic plan, which includes carefully planned route expansion as well as
the addition of six new destinations and as many as 12 new routes in 2007
—leading to a 20% increase in capacity in 2007.
  Flights between Milwaukee and Los Angeles are operated as Midwest
Airlines Saver Service, which features nonstop service and low fares to
leisure destinations. Seating is arranged in a two-by-three configuration
with generous legroom for extra passenger comfort. Flights between
Milwaukee and Tampa will include one daily roundtrip operated as Saver
Service and one roundtrip six days a week operated as Midwest Airlines
Signature Service on Midwest’s new Boeing 717 aircraft featuring two-by-two
leather seating, extra legroom, and Recaro seats with adjustable headrests
and footrests. Saver and Signature Service include onboard complimentary
soft drinks, packaged snacks and baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies, with
the airline’s buy-onboard Best Care Cuisine available for purchase.
DigEplayer portable inflight entertainment systems are also offered for
rent on most long haul flights.
