Austrian expands web check-in

Austrian’s recently introduced Web Check-in service has been taken up by passengers, who are reportedly taking advantage of the new option in huge numbers. Now, after being implemented on routes between Austria and Germany in a first stage, Web Check-in with boarding pass printout is to be rapidly expanded. Fifteen new destinations have been approved for the Web Check-in and online boarding pass printout service with immediate effect: Altenrhein, Amsterdam, Athens, Ankara, Istanbul, Cracow, Kosice, London, L’viv, Nice, Bucharest, Thessaloniki, Venice, Vilnius and Warsaw. Using the new service, Austrian Airlines passengers can check in directly from home or the office up to 24 hours before departure, select their seat and print out their boarding pass themselves.

To be able to use the innovative service, passengers must have an electronic ticket (etix®), a confirmed booking for an Austrian Airlines scheduled flight and access to a PC or laptop with internet connection. A standard office printer is sufficient to print out the boarding pass. Passengers can complete the check-in process quickly and easily from the comfort of their own home or office in just four simple steps at www.austrian.com, ensuring they travel more comfortably with Austrian than ever before and saving them valuable additional time!

The Austrian Web Check-in and online boarding pass printout service will be successively expanded in future and provided on other international routes as soon as this is approved by local authorities and airports.
