Royal Caribbean pitches to UK agents

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is gearing up for its busiest and most significant ever week for the UK cruise market when it hosts over 4,000 travel industry professionals onboard ships throughout the fleet. From Sunday 22nd April 2007 three ships across the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises brands will call into the UK cruise hub of Southampton.

As well as hosting its Royal Celebrity business partners, other key trade such as Advantage Travel Centres, The Global Travel Group, Worldchoice, the Freedom Travel Group, Travel Counsellors, Hays Travel, Future Travel Group, The Cruise Store, Travelcare, United Co-Op, Thomson, First Choice and Thomas Cook will all have dedicated events taking place onboard Liberty of the Seas.

Kicking off the week will be the newest and most innovative addition to the Royal Caribbean International fleet, Liberty of the Seas.  Making her inaugural voyage, the ground-breaking Liberty of the Seas will make her only European showcase in the UK confirming Royal Caribbean International’s commitment to the growing market. Liberty of the Seas is the sister ship to the Guinness Book of Records ‘world’s largest cruise liner’ title holder, Freedom of the Seas.

Not to be left out of the celebrations, on Thursday 26th April the largest ever Royal Caribbean International ship to be based in the UK will arrive in Southampton. Navigator of the Seas will begin a six-month European season offering the most dynamic cruise product ever to sail from a UK port. Over 100 travel agents will be hosted on board Navigator of the Seas’ first ex-UK cruise.

 

Representing the Celebrity Cruises brand during the busy April 2007 week of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines ships will be the 1,950 passenger Celebrity Cruises Constellation. Calling into Southampton on Wednesday 25th April 2007 Constellation will offer a 5-night UK and Ireland itinerary calling at Cork and Dublin.

Liberty of the Seas begins revenue sailings on May 2007. A nine-night Western Caribbean fly/cruise onboard Liberty of the Seas costs from £1,081 pp based on two sharing an inside cabin. Price includes return flights from London Heathrow, one nights hotel accommodation in Miami pre-cruise, transfers between airport, hotel and port, and meals and entertainment onboard. Price is based on 29 September 2007 departure.
