JAL ups Tokyo Hanoi offering

JAL has decided to increase the number of flights it operates on the Tokyo (Narita) - Hanoi route from 2 to 3 flights per week from March 25, 2007. Up to now JAL has operated out of Tokyo (Narita) to Hanoi on Monday and Friday. The new JAL operation is on Wednesday.

The increase enables JAL to offer a daily non-stop service from Tokyo (Narita) to Hanoi, when including JAL’s code share flights operated by Vietnam Airlines.

JAL announced earlier this year, it will also increase flight frequency on the Osaka - Hanoi route from 3 to 4 flights per week from May 15 2007. From May 2007, the latest 737-800 will enter international service for the first time on this route.

JAL started flying between Tokyo - Hanoi in July 2002, and between Osaka - Hanoi in April 2004, responding to increases in business passenger demand.
