Since the beginning of this year up to the end of October, the average daily room rate of four and five-star hotels in Beijing increased by about 8% to RMB896. These hotels’ average revenue from one guest room also increased by 7% to RMB677, according to statistics recently released by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.

The increase in the number of overseas tourists visiting Beijing was the main reason for the rise in the city’s hotel revenues, according to industry insiders.
