InterConti unveils Niagara Falls re-branding

InterContinental has announced the
completion of a $20 million conversion renovation from a Holiday Inn Select to a
Crowne Plaza hotel in Niagara Falls, N.Y.The 391-room, six-story property is owned
by Namwest, LLC and managed by Sentry Hospitality, under a license agreement with a
company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

“This outstanding property is a welcome addition to our portfolio of hotels in the

look forward to providing our industry leading meetings service and a great night’s
sleep via our Sleep Advantage program to our guests in Niagara Falls.”

 

Namwest, LLC, a Phoenix-based real estate development firm, has invested $20 million
in renovations to the hotel including a new building façade, updated
state-of-the-art meeting facilities, upgraded energy-efficient guestrooms and
suites, an expanded fitness center, business center and the addition of an
international marketplace. The lobby features Egyptian limestone and new carpet
throughout, and the hotel’s indoor pool has been updated with new pool liners,
decking, HVAC systems, skylights, deck furniture and ceiling fans.

The 250,000 sq.-ft. hotel has two dining facilities and a Starbucks coffee shop.
Cascades features casual dining three times a day and the Stadium Bar houses 16
stadium seats and 14 plasma TVs.

 

The hotel features the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage which is available at all Crowne
Plaza hotels in the Americas.  The Sleep Advantage encompasses the entire sleep
experience, from training staff on how to create and maintain a restful environment
to providing innovative products and services. Program components include new
bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones, night lights, drape
clips, sleep CDs, sleep tips and amenities such as eye masks, ear plugs and lavender
spray.  Guestroom bathrooms feature Spanish marble vanities and walk-in Terrazzo
showers.

 

Also consistent with the Crowne Plaza brand, the hotel offers a comprehensive
meetings package to ensure a seamless planning process and exceptional meeting
experience consisting of three key components: a Two-Hour Response Guarantee, Crowne
Meetings Director and a Meetings Daily Debrief. With nearly 15,000 sq. - ft. of
meeting space, including a generous ballroom, pre-function space, hospitality
suites, and conference and executive meeting rooms, the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls
provides the perfect venue for business meetings and social functions. All meeting
rooms feature complimentary wireless high speed Internet access.

 

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Niagara Falls, between Niagara Street
and Rainbow Boulevard, and has complimentary guest parking. A variety of restaurants
and shops as well as major businesses are close by, such as the Conference Center
Niagara Falls and New York Power Authority. Cave of the Winds, Whirlpool State Park
and the Aquarium of Niagara also are a short drive from the hotel.

 

The hotel’s address is 300 Third St., Niagara Falls, N.Y., and the hotel was
formerly known as the Holiday Inn Select Niagara Falls.
