Czech unwraps Christmas presents

As the end of the year approaches, Czech Airlines is coming out with surprise gifts for its regular customers. Members of the OK Plus and OK Plus Corporate frequent flyer programs will receive gifts with tickets purchased before the end of the year. All OK Plus members who purchase two Travel Class tickets, good for travel before the end of February of next year, will receive a bonus of 10,000 miles; and, those who purchase two Business Class tickets, will receive a bonus of 20,000 miles.

Passengers and businesses enrolled in the OK Plus and OK Plus Corporate programs can earn frequent flyer miles for the purchases of tickets and other services. The accumulated miles can subsequently be redeemed in the form of award tickets as well as being used for a number of other attractive bonuses. Members of the airline’s frequent flyer program can purchase award tickets for as little as 15,000 award miles.

“Our Christmas promotion has something for everyone! We are giving out miles and ticket points, extended deadlines for qualifying for a Gold or Silver OK Plus Card and, for our key customers, we are offering an award ticket booking guarantee for 2007. We have designed our holiday gifts according to the wish lists of our passengers. These offerings give our customers the chance to make their travel in the coming year more pleasurable for themselves as well as giving them the chance to provide something for their friends and loved ones. Getting a gift from us is very easy - all customers have to do is to visit the CSA website and register,” said Jan Ka?e, the Head of the Marketing and Segment Management Section.

In order to advance into a higher membership level and get the Silver or the Gold Card, customers must accumulate a certain number of miles for tickets used during the respective calendar year. This year, CSA has decided to extend this annual qualification period by two additional months. Members of the airlines frequent flyer programs will therefore be able to include tickets purchased before the end of this year and which are used before the end of February of next year, as part of their total qualifying travel miles accumulated for 2006.

Holders of OK Plus Gold Cards, who purchase a Business Class ticket, will receive a Christmas bonus in the form of a guaranteed booking for award tickets redeemed in 2007.

Celebrating the Holidays Onboard

In December, the airline will start to bring the holiday spirit onboard its planes. During this pre-holiday period, passengers will be able to listen to Christmas music during their flights. Cabin interiors will also be decorated in the holiday spirit with the standard headrest doilies replaced with new ones having a Christmas motif and meals will be served with holiday napkins. During the Christmas holidays themselves, the desserts served as part of inflight meals will be replaced with traditional Christmas cookies. On December 6 - Saint Nicholas Day - Advent Calendars will be handed out to kids and during the holidays, the staff will be giving out Christmas chocolates.

Besides the decorations on board its planes, the CSA check-in area at the Prague airport and the CSA Crystal Lounge for business travelers have also already undergone a holiday makeover. To bring the holiday atmosphere into these areas, they have been decorated with special floral arrangements. Special holiday-themed refreshments are being served to our waiting passengers and Christmas music is in the air.
