Silverjet pushes tickets on web

Silverjet has announced that tickets are now available for purchase by U.S. passengers on its Web site—http://www.flysilverjet.com . Silverjet’s first flight is due to take to the sky on January 25th, 2007 with roundtrip fares starting as low as $1,798.

Silverjet will offer its “Silver Class” non-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Luton Airport, the least congested of London’s four major airports.

With a hyper focus on providing a premium service at a reasonable cost, the Silver Class experience aims to eliminate many of the hassles, inconveniences and the physical drains associated with transatlantic business travel. Passengers can check-in for their flight as little as thirty minutes in advance of departure time, saving not only money but valuable time. Speedy curbside check-in services are offered on both sides of the Atlantic.

Each of the 100 seats onboard the airline’s specially outfitted Boeing 767-200s features a flat bed for maximum comfort and a comprehensive entertainment system complete with movies, games and popular television shows. Gourmet meals can be pre-ordered prior to the flight and all passengers enjoy access to Silverjet’s exclusive airport lounges at both Newark and Luton.

“Transatlantic business travel today is an outrageously expensive, underwhelming, arduous and generally unpleasant experience,” said Andria Piekarz, president of Silverjet U.S. “With Silverjet we have created an unrivaled business air travel experience driven by a goal of getting you where you need to be as quickly as possible, in the most comfortable way imaginable and at a cost significantly below competitive business class fares.”

Starting in early December, Silverjet will launch a U.S. focused marketing campaign designed to attract New York area business travelers and leisure consumer travelers seeking a premium, reasonably priced experience to London. The airline has selected M&C Saatchi ( http://www.mcsaatchi.com ) and Kwittken & Company ( http://www.kwitco.com ) as their U.S. advertising and public relations agencies-of-record, respectively.

“Silverjet bookings went on sale in the UK in October and demand thus far has been incredibly strong, exceeding our expectations” said Lawrence Hunt, Silverjet CEO. “We’re excited to bring the Silver Class experience to New York and New Jersey area business travelers and look forward to serving the needs of those seeking a stress-free, restful journey at an affordable fare.”
