Doubletree Savannah wins CARE Cup

The Doubletree Hotel Historic
Savannah in Georgia has been awarded the Doubletree CARE Cup for their team
commitment to excellence in customer service during the second quarter of
2006. The Doubletree CARE Cup is a traveling award that is presented
quarterly to the top hotel among more than 180 Doubletree hotels across the
United States, Canada and Latin America.

The CARE Cup was presented on Thursday, November 2 by Dave Horton, senior
vice president - brand management for Doubletree hotels, to kickoff a
special celebration held at the hotel during which Mark Stratton, hotel
general manager, recognized the hotel’s employees for a job well done.

Doubletree’s CARE Cup symbolizes every Doubletree hotel’s continuing pledge
to guest service and satisfaction. All Doubletree hotels participate in the
brand’s CARE program. Each Doubletree hotel has a CARE Committee; a group
of hotel employees selected to focus on guest service improvements,
community service coordination and enhanced employee satisfaction.  Four
times per year, each Doubletree hotel CARE Committee provides evidence of
their activities and achievements, resulting in a presentation of the
traveling CARE Cup to the top scoring Doubletree hotel.

“Every one of our team members at the Doubletree Hotel Historic Savannah
understands our goal of providing warm and professional service to our
guests and fellow team members, while having fun and enjoying their working
environment every day. Our guests recognize our hotel team as outstanding
because they sincerely deliver exceptional service,? said Mark Stratton,
hotel general manager. “We strive to provide an unrivaled standard of
relaxation and personal service in one of the Southeast’s most desirable
destinations, so that guests who stay with us for business or pleasure will
remember the Doubletree Hotel Historic Savannah for their future travel
plans and become our loyal customer for life.”

The prestigious CARE Cup began its celebrated journey in 1986. Although the
CARE program was already firmly in place, the opportunity to host the CARE
Cup challenged properties to operate on an even higher level and
demonstrate their commitment to customer and team member satisfaction as
well as community service. During its initial 10-year run several
outstanding Doubletree hotels hosted this exquisite cup as a reward for
their achievements. The CARE Cup was re-launched in 2002 to reward hotels
showing their outstanding commitment to the CARE program, while
simultaneously challenging other properties to operate on a higher,
award-winning level.
