Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is appointing Todd Thompson to chief information officer.In this role, Mr. Thompson will be responsible for all facets of Starwood’s information technology globally. He will join Starwood’s Senior Leadership Team and will report to Vasant Prabhu, Starwood’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.

With more than 20 years of technology experience, Mr. Thompson was most recently chief information officer for JetBlue Airlines where he was responsible for companywide information technology projects and operations.

“Todd’s depth and breath of experience in the technology arena, coupled with his industry-leading accomplishments in the airline industry make him an ideal candidate for Starwood as we continue to strive for innovation in all aspects of our business,” said Mr. Prabhu.

Prior to joining Jet Blue in 2003, Mr. Thompson led consulting practices for SBI.Razorfish and Arthur Anderson Business Consulting. Earlier in his career, he was the IT Director at Nu Skin and a Senior Consultant for Anderson Consulting.

Mr. Thompson received a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
