ACTE announces India city champion

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) is marking years of steady membership growth in India by naming Aditya Loomba as the New Dehli City Champion. This announcement comes on the heels of a meeting earlier this month between Loomba, ACTE President Greeley Koch, ACTE Board Member Susan Hopley, and ACTE Executive Director Susan Gurley.

“It is this association’s pleasure to introduce Aditya Loomba, Director, Tour Mart India and ECO Rent A Car as ACTE’s first India Champion. Loomba, who lives and works in India has first hand knowledge of the issues facing the marketplace and will introduce himself as India’s first ACTE leader at the October 3rd New Delhi Executive Forum” said Koch.

“I believe ACTE is an excellent ‘one of a kind’ global platform for the corporate world and the travel industry to exchange their views, ideas and thoughts,” said Loomba. “We all know that India’s economy is booming and corporate travel is growing at an amazing pace. With so much business happening in India, ACTE’s education programs are creating the right atmosphere for sharing knowledge, addressing common concerns and learning the new global travel trends being introduced worldwide. It gives me great pleasure to be the first India ACTE leader. I’m confident that ACTE will be of great value to the corporate travel industry in India.”

International standards for managed travel programmes and an analysis of traveller safety are the key topics of the Delhi Executive Forum. The education sessions will be followed by a networking lunch. The first session, “International Managed Travel Practices - How Much Do We Need to Adopt?”, will identify key factors that Indian travel management professions should consider incorporating into their programmes.

The ACTE New Delhi Executive Form will take place on October 3 at the Taj Mahal Hotel, 1 Mansingh Road, New Delhi, India. To register for the forum, please visit ACTE.
