CEO leaves South Africa council

Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) CEO Tanya Abrahams is leaving the council after six years at the helm to pursue private business interests, chairman Thabiso Tlelai told the South Africa Press Association. Paying tribute to Abrahams, he said she had led the organisation and tourism’s private sector with energy, enthusiasm and passion during a period of great achievement and growth.

“We are of course sorry to see her go, but feel sure that she will continue to contribute to our economy and society and wish her all the best for the future”.

Abrahams said the past six years had been “exciting and rewarding”.

She was now looking forward to participating in her personal capacity in “the economy in South Africa, on the African continent and globally”.
