Amplefuture’s Pocket Portal has secured top honours in the UK’s New Media Effectiveness Awards for a Pan-European campaign launched by British Airways.
Pocket Portal, a mobile marketing application that enables brands to gain a presence on consumer mobile phones,  provided the technology for a ‘Hidden London’ travel guide.  Consumers were able to download the guide to their phone for instant access to recommendations for restaurants, pubs, museums and other London sights.

The application won the award for the ‘Travel’ category in the 2006 New Media Effectiveness Awards. According to the commentary on the win in the awards magazine, “The judges were amazed by the numbers and noted the huge impact on ROI from a new application. They were also immensely impressed by the innovative use of mobile technology.”
