The Aeroflot - Russian Airlines has reviewed performance in the past five months of 2006 and has found a boost in passengers. In the period under review Aeroflot carried 2.533 million passengers, a 3.3% increment year-on-year, and 54,400 tonnes of cargoes and mail (cargo haulage down 9.7% Y/Y and that of mail down 7.1% Y/Y).

In May 2006, passenger turnover totalled 7.8 billion passenger/km and cargo turnover 1.0b tonne/km.

Seat occupancy stood at 67.8% and payload at 56.6%. Actual flight hours for every type of aircraft went up 0.2% Y/Y.
