Ramada opens in Taif, Saudi Arabia

Ramada Worldwide continues its energetic expansion plans across the Middle East and Saudi Arabia in specific with the signing of a contract for key property in Taif, Saudi Arabia. The hotel chain has signed with Tadawul Al Jazeera Real Estate Company to manage the five-star hotel and suites at Al Hada touristic area.

Located directly on top of the cliff of Al Hada mountains with views of the valley and immediate access to the mountain’s cable car. The hotel, 70 km from the holy city of Makkah will open partially in summer 2006.

“The new hotel in Taif will complement our strong presence in Saudi Arabia. Visitors on their annual Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage will experience the Ramada Hospitality with an option to enjoy cold climate up the mountain in less than an hour drive.”

The Ramada Al Hada Hotel and Suites, Taif is composed 138 guest rooms & suites and 42 apartment units, all highly furnished with in-room safes, equipped with TV, work desk, mini-fridge, tea/coffee station in all rooms and cable channels. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for guests with disabilities are available. The hotel will also have one main restaurant with a capacity of 800 guests and two other outlets offering a selection of local and international cuisines.

The hotel shall offer a variety of leisure facilities such as swimming pool, fitness centre, kid’s recreational centre and mini golf course. The complex will also house a planned 32 fully furnished villas.

Further Ramada expansion plans include five additional hotels in Qassim (opening in 2006), Jeddah (opening in 2006), Al Khobar (opening in 2007), Makkah (opening in 2007) and Madinah (opening in 2007).
