American Airlines has increased fuel surcharges on fares to and from most of its trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific international destinations (excluding Japan). With a few exceptions, the increase is $10 one way, $20 round trip, and is effective immediately.

The increase will help offset rising fuel costs.
