AirTran goes Chicago NY

AirTran Airways has kicked off the airline’s new nonstop daily service from Chicago’s Midway International Airport to New York/Newark Liberty International Airport.The service will
operate on the airline’s popular Boeing 717 aircraft.
  In addition to the new nonstop service to New York/Newark, the airline
also operates nonstop daily service to Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis/St. Paul,
Sarasota/Bradenton and Orlando.  With new nonstop service to Charlotte and
Dallas/Ft. Worth starting May 9, the airline will operate 32 daily departures
from Chicago Midway to eight nonstop destinations by mid-May 2006.
  “With new service to Newark, an important business destination serving the
New York area, AirTran Airways is providing Chicago travelers with a
convenient, low-fare option to get to the Big Apple,” said Kevin Healy,
AirTran Airways’ vice president of planning.  “With a comfortable Business
Class, assigned seating and everyday low fares, Chicagoans can now get from
LaSalle Street to Wall Street without compromising high-quality service.”
