Macdonald role targets sales boost

A new sales manager covering Macdonald Loch Rannoch Hotel and Macdonald
Forest Hills Hotel and Resort is tasked with bringing more leisure and
corporate business to both hotels.  Penny Carter (aged 26) joined the Macdonald Hotels group in 2003 where she
started as Business Development Manager at the Macdonald Crutherland House
Hotel.

Commenting on behalf of both hotels, Dorothy MacLean, General Manager at
Macdonald Loch Rannoch Hotel said:- “We’re delighted to have Penny on the team.  Her strengths and previous
experience will help us to build on the conference and leisure markets.  It
is an exciting time for the hotels and we’re keen to push the twin hotel
concept through the use of the seaplane which can take off and land on the
lochs outside both hotels, offering a fantastic opportunity for the
corporate market.”

Penny added: “Having worked across various sections of the hospitality trade, this job
will allow me to drive results from strong customer relations.  The
locations of both hotels are second to none, and I believe that the variety
of groups we can accommodate will be appealing to the conference and leisure
markets and it’s my job to bring those customers to the hotels.”
