Thanksgiving never tasted so good

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate. To eat, drink and make merry. However, one downside for our our American readers can be the harsh nip of the cold winter air. Surely it would be far better to chow down in a warmer climate, and enjoy the festivities in the Caribbean? Come November, food and wine lovers will have a lot to be thankful for. Continuing a tradition begun in 2003, Montpelier Plantation Inn in Nevis will once again celebrate Thanksgiving and the arrival of the first Beaujolais Nouveau with a series of “Wine and Turkey” events.November 12 - 30, 2005 Montpelier will host activities including a Thanksgiving dinner at its AAA Four Diamond Terrace Restaurant, that blends Caribbean, American and English traditions and features all the usual trimmings plus some local specialties, a fresh fish BBQ with live music under the stars, Montpelier’s world famous Beach Cricket BBQ, a “Touch of History” tour of Nevis and a Managers’ Sunset Cocktail Party with live music.

Additionally to celebrate the arrival of the first Beaujolais Nouveau of the season, Montpelier will host a night of fine wine and French Bistro food in the Caribbean - a must for all wine lovers, During the Thanksgiving period nightly room rates begin at US$360 per room, per night including breakfast and afternoon tea daily.
