Song Turns Two in Style

Song, Delta Air Lines’ high-style,
low-fare air service celebrated its second birthday on Friday. Since launching
on April 15, 2003, Song has distinguished itself as a unique and
innovative low- fare air service, delivering high-style and low fares to
price-conscious and style-savvy travelers.“Song is all about choice. In the past two years, we’ve listened to our
customers, providing them with the service and amenities they’ve told us
will make their travel experience more enjoyable, comfortable and
entertaining,” said Joanne Smith, president of Song. “Song’s unique
on-board offerings and choices, including our industry-leading
entertainment system, organic and healthful food offerings and signature
martinis, allow every customer on each of our flights to create their own
truly individual in-flight experience. We are thrilled to celebrate our
second birthday with our dedicated employees and loyal customers who have
made Song such a success in just two years in operation.”

In celebration of its second birthday, Song will offer double SkyMiles for
travel on all Song routes. The promotion runs April 15 though April 22,
2005 and is available exclusively by booking directly at flysong.com for
travel May 1 through May 25, 2005.* Additionally, Song will offer a
special birthday cocktail, the “2nd Encore Tini,” made with Finlandia
vodka and DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker on all flights on April 15.

In January 2005, Song announced major expansion plans from New York’s John
F. Kennedy International Airport, including new coast-to-coast service to
Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, as well as to San Juan and Aruba.
Song’s expanded service will feature the wide array of on-board amenities
and signature service that distinguish its brand, including the most
innovative in-flight entertainment (IFE) system of any low-fare service.
Song’s IFE features personal seatback video monitors that offer 24
channels of free, live, DISH Network television; 24 channels of free audio
programming; free digitally-streamed MP3 programming that allows customers
to create individual play lists of up to 32 songs at their seat (from an
inventory of more than 1,600 songs); 10 movies available on demand,
allowing customers to start and stop the film at their leisure; 11 video
games; and a popular interactive trivia game that allows friendly
competition among passengers.

Song also offers a comprehensive onboard menu, featuring healthful,
organic selections, including a California Chicken Salad and Veggie
Sandwich, as well as a few indulgences such as Song’s signature martinis,
including the special 2nd Encore Tini in celebration of its second
birthday. Last year, Song introduced an In-Flight Fitness program,
developed exclusively for the low-fare service by fitness guru David
Barton. The 15-minute workout is designed to help travelers stay fit while
they are on the fly.
