At the beginning of this week (Monday Nov. 22), London played host to The Hats Off To Barbados Ball at the Natural History Museum. The star-studded, black-tie event, raised thousands of pounds in aid of The Prince’s Trust and proved to be every bit as glamorous as the Island itself.Among the celebrities who attended the extravagant event were Anthea Turner, Colin Salmon, 411, Lisa I’Anson, Rik Parfitt Junior, Sarah Bosnich, Emma Sayle, and Caprice.

This year’s Hats theme featured an exclusive fashion show which showcased eccentric hats from Philip Treacy, contemporary arty hats from Cosmo Jenks, classics from Philippe Somerville, milliner to Her Majesty The Queen, bejewelled creations from Louis Mariette and Barbados inspired designs by Nefertari Caddle, created specially for The ‘Hats Off to Barbados’!

Music was supplied by II Divo and the The Brand New Heavies who closed the evenings festivities with tracks from their new album ‘All About The Funk’.

Petra Roach, VP Marketing and Sales, Europe for Barbados Tourism Authority said: “This fantastic evening, presented by Lisa I’Anson, raised thousands of pounds in aid of The Prince’s Trust, which will help young people to overcome barriers and get their lives working. It also created the magical and iconic atmosphere of Barbados and gave a little taster of what Barbados is really like. We are all thrilled that the evening was such a success!”
