Business As Usual at ATA Airlines

ATA Airlines, Inc. have reaffirmed that it is business as usual. ATA’s operations, since filing Chapter 11,
have remained at the same high level of execution at Chicago-Midway and
nationwide. “We remain committed to serving our Midway customers,” said George
Mikelsons, Chairman, President and CEO. “ATA stands by our existing and
future customer commitments, upholding flight schedules, in-flight
services and our Travel Awards program. Our customers should continue to
book flights for future travel and take advantage of our great, low fares
with full confidence.”

The company underscored that it will honor its customer commitments. More
specifically, it is important that customers are aware that, during the
restructuring, ATA will continue to:

* Ensure customers can continue to book future travel with ATA with
confidence. * Provide customers with safe, reliable and high-quality
service. * Operate ATA and Chicago Express flights as scheduled. *
Continue to accept reservations in a timely manner. * Allow customers to
accrue and redeem ATA Travel Awards points.

“The decision to file Chapter 11 is intended to strengthen ATA’s long-term
position in the marketplace,” said John Happ, Senior Vice President -
Marketing and Sales. “By restructuring, we are taking the necessary steps
to insure that ATA remains competitive in this marketplace and is
positioned to meet the needs of our customers today and for the future.”
