AOL Latino and Vegas.com Form New Partnership

AOL Latino and VEGAS.com
today announced the launch of a new travel hub to provide Spanish-speaking consumers with the latest information and booking tools for those wishing to visit Las Vegas, one of the nation’s top travel destinations.

Under the agreement, VEGAS.com is serving as the premier provider of Spanish-language travel content and e-commerce services related to Vegas. AOL Latino and VEGAS.com will work together to create special Spanish-language Vegas promotions and content on the co-branded site.

“We are excited to work with VEGAS.com as a new advertising partner to provide the most comprehensive and unparalleled Vegas travel and entertainment information available on the Web to our Spanish speaking members,” says Peter Blacker vice president of International and Multicultural AOL Media Networks.

Las Vegas is the top domestic city visited by Hispanics residing in the U.S., according to Scarborough Research, and travel is the largest category of online spending among the Hispanic population in the U.S. (source: comScore/Media Metrics). And, as also reported by comScore, Hispanics are heading to travel Web sites at a 7% growth rate, outpacing the 4% figure for the overall U.S. market.

In addition to the new hub, special promotions will be offered to AOL Latino members throughout the year. The first of these specials highlights Mexico’s Independence Day celebration in Las Vegas and the chance to see Alejandro Fernandez in concert.
