Air Jam ease the pain of Ivan the terrible

With Hurricane Ivan having already impacted five of the 12 Caribbean destinations served by Air Jamaica and the storm now threatening the airline’s home island of Jamaica, the carrier has eased ticket change restrictions for passengers with confirmed reservations who have yet to travel, as well as those already in-transit.


ÊPassengers with confirmed reservations for travel slated to begin during the September 9 to 13, 2004 period may defer their trips without penalty.ÊAir Jamaica will issue travel vouchers equal to the total value of the original booking for flights to any Air Jamaica destination.

Vouchers may be redeemed for travel to be completed up to one (1) year from the date the voucher is issued.ÊPassengers have 21 days from the original date of travel to request vouchers.

Passengers already in-transit during the September 9 to 13, 2004 period may defer their return trips without penalty as well. This also applies to in-transit passengers with tickets slated to expire within the September 9 to 13, 2004 period.ÊIn-transit passengers can choose to complete their travel by September 17, 2004.

Passengers are advised to keep a record of their Air Jamaica locator codes to facilitate the processing of changes.
