Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest gets even more big names

Lionel Richie, Kanye West, Mario Winans and Ludacris join the thrilling line-up of reggae, rap, hip hop and international stars performing at the 12th annual Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest at Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay Jamaica from July 18 to 24.  This weeklong festival is a major occasion on Jamaica’s calendar of annual music events, and always a spectacular presentation of the indigenous Jamaican music form immortalised by the late Bob Marley.  Other performers include Beenie Man, Beres Hammond, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Elephant Man, Wayne Marshall, Vybz Cartel and Tanto Metro & Devonte.

First staged in August 1993, Reggae Sumfest was an immediate hit with locals and visitors alike, growing rapidly into the world’s premier reggae music event.

The festival name was changed in 2001 to “Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest” when a partnership was forged by two major reggae promoters, Summerfest Productions and Red Stripe.
