AMR Corporation Celebrates 65th Anniversary of Listing

AMR Corporation ,
the parent company of American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines, today
will celebrate 65 years of being listed on the New York Stock Exchange
(NYSE). To commemorate the corporate milestone, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer Gerard J. Arpey, accompanied by New York-based
employees, will ring The Closing Bell(TM) at the Exchange. “This anniversary marks a meaningful milestone for our company—65 years
of trading on the New York Stock Exchange,” Arpey said. “Our presence here
today is a tribute to our remarkable employees for their continued
dedication to American Airlines and their diligent contributions to our
success.”

AMR Corporation’s stock began trading on the NYSE on June 10, 1939, with
292,088 shares listed. On the premier listing day, 3,000 shares of AMR
stock were traded and the stock closed at $31.
