SuperClubs offers a tasty treat

If your stress levels have finally reached boiling point and you want a break that indulgences your mind, body and soul then visit the island of Jamaica and enjoy a holiday at SuperClubs’ Grand Lido Negril. During 2 - 6 September, the beautiful resort hosts the fifth annual ‘Epicurean Escape’ - a dream for food lovers everywhere.

‘Foodies’ can enjoy a five day feast stuffed with cooking demonstrations, pastry classes and tasting seminars devoted to wine, martinis, rum and Cognac - served up by celebrated chefs and winemakers. Then guests can bake themselves under the glorious sun on the white sandy beaches and then be left to cool in one of the many swimming pools.

This year’s star chefs include Sam Choy, Hawaii’s ‘Culinary Ambassador’ and TV host of ‘Sam Choy’s Kitchen’, who brings the flavours of Aloha to an equally tropical Jamaica. Elfisio Farris a native of Sardinia who made his name by popularizing the island’s simple rustic fare. The third is Grand Lido Negril’s executive chef Martin Maginley, the leading light of New Jamaican cuisine. Don’t miss the guava-glazed ribs, pork loin rubbed with Blue Mountain coffee and a new take on Italian bruschetta with Scotch Bonnet mango butter and Jackfruit gazpacho.

In addition to; demonstrations and classes by visiting chefs, pastry classes, wine tastings and seminars, mixology sessions will fill days with events such as a cocktail sunset cruise on-board the resort’s own 147-foot luxury yacht, once the honeymoon vessel of Princess Grace.  New to this year’s event is the Negril Sampler that offers guests an opportunity to experience local attractions including Rick’s Café, Margaritaville and Cosmos.

Finishing the weekend in style is the multi-course grand gala dinner featuring a signature dish created by each chef, paired with wine selected by the sommelier. (Bookings must be made in advance)
