Bally’s/Casino Marketplace Adopts MICROS OPERA System

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel
has upgraded its property management system (PMS) to the OPERA Enterprise Solution from MICROS Systems, Inc.

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, located 25 miles south of Minneapolis and the Mall of America, is owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. The property includes an expansive casino with nearly 4,000 slots and 88 blackjack tables, a 416-room luxury hotel, 4 dining establishments, atrium swimming area, conference space, and the Mystic Celebrity Palace performance hall, which hosts a full schedule of nationally known entertainers.

OPERA’s new gaming interface will connect guest profiles to player data, enabling Mystic Lake to provide more personalized service, manage complimentary guest offerings or “comps” more efficiently and streamline the accounting process.

Mystic Lake selected the fully integrated OPERA Enterprise solution following an extensive RFI process. “We were seeking a sophisticated Windows(R)-based property management system that could tie together our many revenue centers and enhance our guests’ experience,” explained Mark Bassinger, Director of IT for Mystic Lake Casino Hotel. “Having used the MICROS V6 PMS for a number of years, we were confident that MICROS would provide excellent products and responsive service.”

Tina McClay, Vice President of the MICROS Independent Hotel Sales Division, added, “We are excited to offer two new interfaces to Mystic Lake to further streamline their operations. Our vast years of experience in the hospitality industry afford us an understanding of the unique management needs of hotels, casinos, restaurants, retail and entertainment venues, and we have developed and integrated a product suite that offers an effective and seamless solution.”
