Sabre Travel Network

has introduced to Europe a product called Hotel Total Pricing, which lets travel agents quote the total price of any hotel stay with participating hotels, including rate information across a range of days and all taxes and surcharges.  Pricing information was previously limited to the basic room rates. 

The first European chain to use the product is London-based chain Supranational Hotels.  Marriott Hotels, based in the United States, was the inaugural participant earlier this month.

There is no change to the hotel booking process for Sabre Connected agents.  The system will simply provide the total price of all accommodation, inclusive of all mandatory ‘extras’ over and above the standard rate.  The agent will see an ordered list of availability, based on price, and the system will provide a breakdown of applicable mandatory charges. 

Total pricing applies only to hotels participating in the product.  Supranational Hotels is the first European-based chain to participate and discussions are underway with others.
