4oceans Launches ‘Pay As You Use’ Scheme For Hoteliers

A new hotel distribution service has been launched by 4oceans to help independent hoteliers, looking to connect to a Global distribution platform, reduce operational overheads.Low cost distribution expert 4oceans has developed ‘ResConnect’, a ‘pay as you use’ service, where hoteliers sign up to the 4oceans platform for £99 a year and then pay £1.50 for each booking that is made via the system.

The move is set to dispel hotelier concerns about undertaking a significant financial or time investment during the current industry climate in order to make the first step online.

4oceans Account Manager for Hotel Relations, Juliette Newth, said: “It has been well documented recently that despite tough economic conditions, a tense political climate and fewer travellers, the online travel market has continued to improve over the last 12 months.

“By unveiling the new ResConnect deal, 4oceans is providing hoteliers with a low-risk market entry into a high growth revenue sector. Just one booking will generate an effective return on your investment.”

The ‘pay as you use’ programme allows hoteliers unlimited access to multiple distribution channels, both in emerging and established markets, via 4oceans easy to use, low-maintenance interface.

These include over 3000 4oceans booking agents in China, in addition 4oceans will soon be able to offer seamless distribution to Amadeus, Galileo and Sabre Global Distribution Systems, which offers access to approximately 200,000 travel agents worldwide.

Full support and orientation is included in the deal to ensure a straightforward implementation process for hoteliers.

“Choosing the right online strategy is essential,” warned Newth. “Distributing discounted rates via online travel intermediaries is an approach that may indeed grow total revenues over time but this can be at the price of significant yield and brand erosion.”

A number of leading groups as well as prominent independents have already taken advantage of this unique offer over the last six months, including Leading Hotels of the World, Sol Melia and Great Hotels of the World.
