easyJet enjoyed another strong week for Internet bookings, with online sales accounting for 72.9% of all sales made during the week ending 9 July 2000 - a total of 89,772 seats.
Online sales have been boosted by the phenomenal response to the release of October flights. Last Friday, easyJet sent a message to everyone who had registered with the new email service advising them that October flights were now available to book. Since then, a staggering 45% of the tens of thousands of October seats already sold have been purchased by people who had received this email message. As the lowest fares are usually available to those who book early, this illustrates that those people who sign up to receive easyJet emails really can take advantage of the best deals.
