It took just five weeks for Northwest Airlines to issue their 100,000th boarding pass delivered via the Internet, a milestone described by Al Lenza, VP NWA, as “unprecedented”.
This makes Internet check-in the fastest adopted product in Northwest history.
Mr Lenza said that e-tickets had not caught on as fast as Internet check-in and the e-Service Centres took longer to reach their 100,000th passenger.

All check-in functions can be performed via the Internet, including the ability for a passenger to print his or her own boarding pass from their own computer.
