Leading Car Rental Company Avis UK, has today announced the appointment of Chris Longmuir as Director of Business Development to continue the company’s rapid growth within the B2B sector. Reporting into UK Sales Director Anthony Ainsworth, and managing a team of 20, Chris, who previously led Avis’ UK national sales team, will take on the overall business development activity in the UK,  including corporate, leasing and specialist businesses.

Chris brings a wealth of business development expertise to his new role, with over 14 years experience within the rental industry. Prior to joining Avis, Chris worked at Europcar in a variety of senior management roles.

Longmuir took up his new role with effect from 1st August 2010, replacing Roger Evans who is leaving Avis after five years to pursue his next challenge.

Having spent 14 years in the car rental market I feel I can bring a unique blend of sales and customer service expertise and experience to the role.”
