Amy Hulbert to Lead Design Efforts for Best Western

Amy Hulbert has joined Best Western as Director of Design. In this role, she ensures consistent design quality for the World’s Largest Hotel Chain and its 4,000 hotels. Hulbert also leads refinement and implementation of design standards and requirements for the brand’s new descriptor program, which is bringing Premier and Plus descriptors to hotels in North America.

Prior to joining Best Western, Hulbert spent twelve years with Hilton Hotels Corporation, most recently serving as director of interior design for Latin America and the Caribbean. With Hilton, Hulbert oversaw design for Hilton’s 10 brands in the 43 countries that make up the Latin American region, working on projects such as the Hilton Iguazu Falls in Argentina, the Hilton Bogota, the Panama City Hilton, the Palmer House Hilton renovation, and focused-service properties such as the Hampton Inn in Chiapas, Mexico.

“Amy joins Best Western at a pivotal time as we implement brand descriptors in North America,” said Rich Bennett, Vice President of Design and Supply. “She is a true business partner who understands the balance between outstanding design and return on investment. We are fortunate to have her at Best Western.”

At Best Western, Hulbert will oversee a team of headquarters and field-based design consultants who perform a full range of design services for the brand’s 2,200 North American hotels.
