Amadeus strengthens with three senior appointments

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announced that it has made three senior appointments to its regional team based in Dubai, UAE, overlooking the Middle East and North Africa region. These include Louis Arnaud who takes over the role of Regional Business Solution Manager MENA, Lampros Brianas as the Regional Market Manager MENA and Thierry Dongier as the Regional Sales Director- Key Accounts- MENA.

Thierry Dongier, the Regional Sales Director- Key Accounts- MENA, joins the Amadeus team from Amadeus Sophia Antipolis, France, where he held several positions over the last three years, including Sales Manager, Western Europe TOPS (Travel Agency Products Solutions) and most recently IT and Global Account Manager for Global Customers IT Solutions (GCIS). In his new position, Thierry focuses on developing the region’s Top 20 accounts and develop a new GCIS/Regional sales strategy in close collaboration with the region’s General Managers and sales teams, while bringing his experience in IT solutions in multiple areas such as advertising, travel expense management and travel disruption solutions.

The second appointment of Lampros Brianas as Regional Market Manager MENA is to drive the growth of the Amadeus distribution & IT business in the region, with his specific focus on Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Sudan. Lampros will also manage the local Amadeus Commercial Organisations present in these markets and grow the profitability, while ensuring the best in service level provision to Amadeus customers. He comes with six years of experience in Amadeus, in sales consulting, working on global sales transformation consulting projects and Airline Account Management, managing the relationship with airline partners across the African region.

As the Regional Business Solution Manager MENA, Louis Arnaud is responsible for ensuring improved understanding of the region’s Travel Agency Major Business and IT needs and design and offer the best IT solutions for each customer. Louis brings with him 10 years of experience within Amadeus dealing successfully with IT Solutions, Sales and Project Management for the benefit of travel agencies. He also has a strong background in Software Systems Selling and Consulting from leading European IT companies.
