The world famous Motown Museum in Detroit has announced it will undergo a $50-million-dollar expansion starting in 2017. This will grow the Museum to a 50,000 square foot tourist attraction featuring dynamic, interactive exhibits, a state-of-the art performance theatre, unrivalled recording studios, an expanded retail experience and meeting spaces designed by world renowned architects and exhibit designers.

Hakkasan Group will debut its first US location of Yauatcha, a dim sum teahouse, on February 1st, 2017 in Honolulu. Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board has shared new visitation forecasts and tourism data with local hospitality partners and business leaders at the organisation’s fourth annual Market Outlook Forum. Chambers Travel Group’s parent company Corporate Travel Management is expanding its US footprint with the acquisition of California-based Montrose Travel. The purchase is expected to make CTM one of the 12 largest travel companies in the US, just three years after entering the market. Etihad Airways has welcomed the highly-anticipated arrival of its Airbus A380 service at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The arrival marked the US debut of the airline’s exclusive A380 service, including The Residence by Etihad, the only commercially available three-room suite in the sky. The A380 now serves guests travelling on one of the airline’s two daily flights between Abu Dhabi and New York.
